Groundswell Aid is a vital ministry of Christian Surfers that exists to uplift grassroots projects, where surfing and poverty intersect.
During April the spotlight across all Christian Surfers platforms is on their invaluable work and to raise awareness of the support needed to keep running all these incredible projects and initiatives around the world!
You can become a vital part to ensure both emergency actions and long-term support on the ground is possible and increase the impact of what is happening around the globe.
Can you commit to $20 per month. Help the team stay ready, respond faster, and support leaders globally.
As a family of Christian surfers, we can practically represent Jesus globally in some of the poorest hot spots in the world through this amazing project. Let’s keep moving forward—together.

When more people commit to pray, donate monthly and engage with the Groundswell Aid:
When trust is strong, we can move quickly and effectively.
Sylven, project leader of Groundswell Aid, recently shared a powerful example of this in action through a collaborative fundraiser supporting Arfaith from Surf Church Ayoke.
By bringing together Christian Surfers Philippines, Groundswell Aid, and The Surf Church Collective, we were able to partner in a way that created far greater impact than any one group could have achieved alone.
In November 2025, after a typhoon struck, we responded together. The approach was simple: assess the need, agree on a clear plan, and establish straightforward reporting. Arfaith provided a short update from the ground, we set a realistic fundraising target, mapped out a communication plan, and moved forward together.
Because trust was already in place, we were able to act quickly. The campaign was shared widely, gaining strong support and reaching many people who wanted to respond to the urgent need.
Together, we raised just over $4,000 – enough to rebuild 20 homes.
Groundswell Aid didn’t just deliver aid; it empowered the local community to access the resources they needed and take part in rebuilding their own homes. The result is visible, tangible, and lasting.
A key part of this success was the strong communication and accountability from Arfaith and Melissa Miranda, their clear and consistent reporting on both finances and progress helped maintain confidence across the partnership.
This is what effective collaboration looks like. It doesn’t require complicated systems or heavy processes. What matters most is relationship, clarity, and trust.
When those are in place, we can move fast and make a real difference.
