Wave Point believes every child deserves a safe, welcoming place to learn, where they feel they belong, are encouraged, and are empowered.
The program is led by Este, a qualified teacher, and leads the foundation and their volunteers who provide support in reading, extra math classes, homework, and exam preparation. Through consistent academic support, Wave Point helps learners pass school, grow in confidence, and move closer to future careers or further studies.
Many learners face real barriers to learning:
Schooling and exams are in English, while most learners’ home language is isiXhosa
Reading challenges affect performance across all subjects
Limited support at home makes homework and exam preparation difficult
We are raising USD 10,200 to provide 12 months of education support, including:
Learning materials and stationery (books, calculators, pens, notebooks, erasers, rulers, glue)
Homework and exam support resources
Printing and learning summaries
Education staff
Use and upkeep of the learning facility
Basic medical supplies to ensure a safe environment
USD 10,200 = one full year of consistent education support.
Give the gift of consistent learning by becoming a monthly donor. Your regular contribution ensures that Wave Point learners have the resources, support, and guidance they need all year long.
Thank you for believing in the power of education.
