New Sports Field Brings Joy to Siargao Community 🇵🇭
At the beginning of this year, Groundswell Aid was able to support Dom from Christian Surfers Philippines with their surf program in Siargao. During this time, we also heared about a fundraiser for a sportfield for Nissi Christian Academy, which is the school where Dom’s wife works, located right in front of their home.
Nissi Christian Academy is led by John Carby and his family, who serve the community of Siargao through education and their involvement with Christian Surfers in the region. When we heard about the school’s need for a proper space for sports and community gatherings, we felt led to get involved.
Thanks to generous financial support, we’re thrilled to share that a new sports field has now been built!
This field is more than just a place to play, it’s a blessing for the school and the wider community. It provides a safe, vibrant space for students to train, play, and connect, and it also opens up opportunities for community events that bring people together.
