New Surfboards, New Hope: Supporting Pater Surf School in La Paloma

New Surfboards, New Hope

A success story made possible through your generous support and our partnership with the Ball Project. Together, we’ve helped strengthen the incredible work being done by Pater Surf School in La Paloma, Uruguay.

Recognizing the wear and tear from constant use, Groundswell Aid provided five new Brazilian Pipeline soft boards, perfect for kids learning to surf. These boards are already making a difference, helping young surfers build confidence, connection, and new skills in the water.

Alongside the surfboards, the team at Pater Surf School also purchased soccer and volleyball equipment. These are now being used for community games on the beach and at the La Paloma Sport Club, offering more ways for kids to stay active, have fun, and grow together.

The new equipment has been a real blessing for Daniel and Katrine, who run Pater Surf School. Their dedication to creating safe, positive environments for local children, many from vulnerable backgrounds, continues to inspire us. This support not only enhances their programs but also deepens the impact they have on the lives of the young people they serve.
