Projecto Zoe joins the Groundswell Aid Family
In February 2024, we were honored to welcome Projecto Zoe from Salvador, Brazil, into the Groundswell Aid family.
Founded in 2019 by André Galvão, Projecto Zoe was born out of Surfistas de Cristo Brasil (Christian Surfers Brazil) and has become a beacon of hope in the community of Bahia. Located right on the beach, the project provides a safe space for over 80 children and their families, offering surf programs, educational support, food distribution, discipleship, and leadership training.
The name “Zoe” represents life in its fullest and most meaningful form — a reflection of their mission to bring new life, belonging, and growth to a community deeply affected by crime and poverty.
We’re grateful to come alongside André and his team as they continue to share God’s love through waves, community, and transformation.
