Rebuilding El Paredón Buena Vista

We recently received communications from a member of the Christian Surfers community, Edgar from Christian Surfers Guatemala of a devastating fire which tore through El Paredón Buena Vista. The fire destroyed many homes, businesses and people’s livelihoods. This has left many families in need of very urgent support.

How we helped:

In early 2025, a fire swept through El Paredón Buena Vista, destroying homes, small businesses, and surf shacks. Families lost almost everything.

Edgar Guillen from Christian Surfers Guatemala reached out to ask for help. He has worked for years with the local youth and surf community, helping to build opportunity and hope. 

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised $1,315 to support Edgars relief efforts during the times of urgent needs after the fire.

What the Funds Helped With

Working with Edgar and the local team, we were able to provide:

  • Building materials and tools

  • Food parcels for families

  • Mattresses and bedding
