Journey of a T-Shirt

When Christian Surfers were planning their International Gathering they wanted to try to do things well from the bottom to the top. Part of that effort included having their t-shirts made ethically - beyond that however they also found a way to make them empowering. Using our project Aleph Surf, they had their shirts handmade in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa, providing paid work for local people there, whilst themselves being provided with better quality products than they otherwise would have had. It may have cost them a little more, but we think it was well worth it!
