Wave Point Foundation is a project-based in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa which over the last three years has grown significantly. Wave Point is run by CJ Jansen, who is a man with a big heart for his community. The Wave Point Foundation has empowered CJ and other leaders in the area to impact the community in which they live.
One of the ways in which CJ and the Wave Point Foundation has been able to impact the local community is through the building of a skate park for their program Kick Push Move. We as Groundswell Aid were able to give this sick initiative a financial boost in order to get things off the ground. Chris van der Merwe from Christian Skaters came down from Cape Town bringing his concrete laying expertise in order to put the whole thing together.
One of the main aims of the foundation is to get young people who live in the nearby township off the streets while doing a healthy physical sport in a safe space.
Groundswell Aid would like to thank all those who donated as well as Chris van der Merwe for his expertise and all the volunteers that helped this dream of CJ become a reality.
