Cyclone Eloise Campaign

Just over three weeks ago, Mozambique was hit by Cyclone Eloise. Groundswell Aid partnered up with Young Life Mozambique and Aleph Surf to assist the community of Beira.

Eugenio Balane from Young Life Mozambique has been instrumental in assisting those who have suffered loss, with much-needed food and supplies.

Some fantastic news is that our friend Rehgert from Aleph Surf Int. will be arriving in Beira on Thursday the 25th of February. Rehgert is joined by Hanrick Burger, a plumber by trade and a man who knows a thing or two about building projects. They will be there for six days on the ground to support Eugenio and the Young Life leaders with house visitations, food and support parcels as well as to facilitate the start of much-needed roof repairs.

There is currently another tropical storm moving towards the Mozambican channel which could potentially reach Beira. Tropical Storm Guambe has since tracked South and on its current trajectory will miss Beira. Please pray that this storm stays offshore - as the living conditions of many cannot withstand another severe storm.
